Hello! My name is Diego and I am a graduate of Stanford University's interdisciplinary program in Learning, Design & Technology (LDT). This portfolio includes examples of user research and design projects completed during my time as an LDT student. LDT is an interdisciplinary program that incorporates design thinking, human-centered design, human-computer interaction, the learning sciences, and evaluation.

As a graduate student, I explored the intersection of design, research, and technology for creating and enhancing user experiences and improving outcomes for people. Many of the projects I worked on while at Stanford focused on facilitating social interaction, building relationships, and fostering community to support well-being.

My master's project, a web app called Connect, focused on supporting college students in the process of developing networking skills and taking the first steps toward building relationships that are beneficial for their career and academic success.

Before attending graduate school at Stanford, I worked as a Research Analyst at SRI International, a research and development institute. In this role, I supported projects focused on creating, evaluating, and improving products, programs, and services related to learning and development.

I am currently an Instructional Designer and Trainer at Stanford University's School of Medicine. In this role, I design and lead learning experiences focusing on project management software used by research teams across the medical school. Examples of my current work are also included in this portfolio.
